Eco Friendly Sourcing
2008-04-01 15:49:13

I'm looking for some help.  Right now, I'm writing an article about eco friendly sourcing, but there are some areas, where its difficult.

#1.  How do we classify "eco friendly" materials?  Are ceramic and glass eco friendly?  They are made from natural materials, and are most often non toxic, but...  They take a good amount of energy to produce.

#2.  It seems that there is not a great way to label your goods as eco friendly, without spending a lot of money.  Right now, I've only found companies offering "green" certification that is product specific.  But, what if your your entire product line, or entire factory is using renewable materials, and lower energy amounts?

Well, yes,it's not an easy question. Can we label a products just because of the products itseft is not much harm to the environment. What if it produces much toxic ingredient in the manufacturing or much pollution in its packaging .In my point of view to define fa products whether is "green "or not there are many aspects should be taken into account.
